I am a resident of Edgecombe County. The pipeline would certainly impact my neighbors, and environmental and social impacts may extend to the entire region. I believe that it is a priority to protect our wetlands, which may be damaged/destroyed by building the ACP. It is appalling to think that more acres of wetlands will be lost to the pipeline than the state of NC permits to be lost annually for the entire state! When mature, forested wetlands are cleared, there is a very lengthy recovery time. Meanwhile, many creatures will have suffered the loss of their habitat. And our precious water will have lost the cleaning and filtration provided by wetlands. Speaking of clean water, I do not believe that sufficient protections would be in place for my neighbors that utilize wells. I do not support the release of methane into our atmosphere. This is caused by fracking, pipelines, and gas-fired power plants. I do not wish for the land near schools and daycares to contain this pipeline. I am not convinced of adequate safety measures for those whose homes, workplaces, community buildings, and water supply would be in proximity to the ACP. I do not wish for my Native American neighbors to be forced to sacrifice the safety and existence of land and water that is dear to their culture, history, and farming to this pipeline. The ACP would not bring numerous long-term jobs to this area. I would prefer that we focus on renewable energy. I believe that the ACP is not really needed, except by Duke and Dominion, who are eager to dive into self-dealing. I do not support greed, nor do I support the ACP's sabotage of the environment in my neighborhood. Thank you. Sally Moseley 1612 Colony Dr Tarboro NC 27886 1
