Total electricity demand has remained relatively flat for the past decade or so. No more gas-fired power plants are needed, therefore, no gas pipelines are needed.  This pipeline will carry fracked methane. Fracking itself causes health and environmental degradation, and should not be enabled by building pipelines which encourage more production.  Energy companies want to produce more gas in order to sell it overseas where it commands a higher price. They place profit value over the value of the environment they will ultimately pollute.  Too many of North Carolina's unique environmental resources are placed at risk by the construction and continued operation of a large pipeline. Wetlands, streams, rivers, forests, etc. are all at risk.  Private wells are at risk of contamination. Valuable farmland will be removed from production.  This pipeline intrudes upon depressed communities and communities of color to a larger extent than is necessary.  The risk is too high and the reward is too low. This pipeline makes no economic sense. Tom Spencer 813 Burning Bush Dr. Pleasant garden, NC 27313 1
