Subject:Support for the Atlanta Coast Pipeline
Dear North Carolina Environmental Quality, As someone who works in the North Carolina energy industry, I
fully support the approval of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. This safe and necessary energy infrastructure project
will provide public utilities with clean-burning natural gas to generate electricity and heat our homes and
businesses. It will create jobs and boost economic growth, while decreasing carbon emissions. Building the
ACP will support an estimated 17,240 construction jobs and 2,200 ongoing operation jobs when it is completed.
It will cut energy costs for consumers by $377 million a year. The ACP has undergone three years of reviews
and extensive study by federal, state, and local entities. FERC and other agencies have carefully analyzed its
potential impacts on air and water quality, wildlife, and other natural resources. It has passed every test and met
all state and federal construction and environmental requirements. I am urging the Department of
Environmental Quality to please support the ACP. It will help meet the growing energy needs of our expanding
population, create living-wage jobs for North Carolina workers, and make our state a cleaner, safer, and more
prosperous place to live. Sincerely, Gregory Vinton 8717 Totteridge Dr Charlotte, NC 28277-5693
