Dear Mr. Barnes,
(Via Facsimile: 919-733-6893 & Mail)
This letter is with reference to the letter of September 18, 2008 written by Ms. Coleen Sullins regarding
DWQ Project Number 05-2066 vs 5 Currituck County, Corolla Bay. The development team has been
working diligently to review alternatives for an Avoidance and Minimization Plan for the isolated impacts
of 1.58 acres on the east side of Highway 12. Today Coastal Engineering, Inc. has forwarded to you an
electronic copy of the revised plan that follows the plan sent to you last week and inserts the Avoidance and
Minimization Plan into the total development scenario for the east side. Please be advised that a paper
copy is also being forwarded to you via Federal Express.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that Corolla Bay intends to comply with the request for
additional information and asks for additional time for your consideration of the information forwarded. In
compliance with the letter of September 18, 2008, we respectfully request that the project review continue
and that the project not be withdrawn from the North Carolina Division of Water Quality's permit
application process.
Sincerely,
Environmental Professionals, Inc.
