Maria,
Two jurisdictional features (Meeting House Branch, and Bell Branch) show up in the
study area maps. A possible third feature (a UT to Bell Branch) shows up on the Soil
Survey map but it may no longer exist on the ground. Any impacts to these features
could require a 401 Water Quality Certification and a Buffer Authorization from the
Division of Water Resources. It would also be necessary to determine if any wetlands
exist in the study area, there may possibly be some in the vicinity of Meeting House
Branch. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Thanks.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) – Division 2 is beginning the
project development, planning, and engineering studies for State Transportation
th
Improvement Program (STIP) Project Number U-5917, the proposed widening of 14
Street (SR 1704) from US 264 Alternate (Greenville Boulevard SE) to Firetower Road (SR
1708) in Greenville, Pitt County. Attached are the Start of Study letter and the project
data sheets, which include a vicinity and environmental features figures. We
respectfully request any comments you may have on the subject project by Friday, April
21, 2016.
