The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division 3 has started the project
development, environmental, and engineering studies for the subject prajeet. The project is
included in the approved 2016-2025 1`1CDOT STIP with right-vf-way in fiscal year (FY) 2020
and construetion in FY 2022,
We would appreciaie any information or comments you have that would be heIpful in evaluation
potential enviranmental impacts nf the project. If applicable, please identify any permits or
approvals that might be required by yaur agency. Your corrmments will be used in the preparation
af a state Environmental Assessment/ Finding of No Significant Jm�act, which will be prepared
in accardance with the North Carolina State Environmental Policy Act (NCEPA). Please provide
your comtnents by �ctoher 3, 2017, so that your comments can be used in the preparation of this
document.
At present, there are no plans to hold a formal project scaping meeiing with agency
representatives. If you would like to request additional inforrnation and/ar arrange a meeting,
