The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality's Division of Water Resources
(Division) received your letter dated August 10, 2017, regarding the Aqua North Carolina (Aqua)
customer responses. The Division acknowledges that this letter satisfies the requirements of our
July 7, 2017, letter regarding connection of Aqua customers to permanent alternate water supplies.
Duke Energy may procced with the plan to connect the existing Aqua communities referenced in
your August 10 letter to the City of Belmont.
