The project restore 1235 linear feet of the stream based on the attached detailed plans using a track excavator and
natural channel design techniques. Because of the large CFS in this stream we ask that the. requirement to work in the,

1. FILTER FABRIC SHALL BE PLACED ON THE UPSTREAM SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE 114 DIAMETER FROM THE TOP OF THE
LOG. THE NAILS SHALL BE ON 12 INCH CENTERS, FILTER FABRIC SHALL BE BURIED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CHANNEL
AND SHALL BE PLACED THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE STRUCTURE.
2. A TRENCH SHALL BE DUG IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE FOOTER LOGS A MINIMUM OF 213 OF THE HEADER BOULDER IS
BURIED BENEATH THE BED SURFACE ELEVATION.
3. A HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR WITH A BUCKET THAT CONTAINS A HYDRAULIC THUMB SHALL BE USED TO PLACE BOULDERS
AND LOGS WITH THE SUPERVISION OF THE ENGINEER.
4. SEE SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR HEADER AND FOOTER DIMENSIONS.

SOIL TEST: SOIL TESTING WILL DETERMINE WHETHER THE SOIL PH AND NUTRIENT

THAT FAVOR TURFGRASS GROWTH. THE SOIL TEST REPORT WILL INDICATE
NEEDED AMOUNTS OF FERTILIZER AND/OR LIME.
CLEAN AND ROUGH GRADE: REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE LOCATION TO BE
PLANTED. THIS INCLUDES ROCKS, BOTTLES, LARGE ROOTS AND OLD TREE TRUNKS.
IF EXTENSIVE GRADING IS NEEDED, REMOVE THE TOPSOIL AND STOCKPILE IT FOR
REPLACEMENT AFTER THE ROUGH GRADE IS ESTABLISHED.
THE SUBSURFACE MAY BECOME COMPACTED DURING ROUGH GRADING,
