Comment: This site visit was a follow-up to an ICA issued bv DOT's Roadside Environmental staff related to off-site
sediment loss to JS upstream of permit Site 10 on Julv 27. EC measures were not installed properlv
resultinq in in-stream sedimenUturbidity. We walked the stream channel and verified that most if not all
sediment was removed from the channel. Straw mattinq and seed were placed in barren areas alonq the
channel. The area is extremely steep. Water was flowinq. The channel is about 1- 2 feet in width. The
pipe at Site 10 was cloqqed, pondinq water across the site. DOT staff have since removed the cloq and
water is flowinq undeterred. EC measures are now in place per the plan.
