Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed widening of Hopkins Road and widening and extending Big Mill Farm with new interchange at Business 40 / U.S. 421 in Forsyth County. The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 24, at Faith Church located at 241 Hopkins Road in Kernersville from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interested citizens may attend at any time during the above hours as there will be no formal presentation. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the proposed project. Citizens will also have the opportunity to submit comments and questions in writing. All written comments and questions need to be submitted no later than Monday, September 18. The purpose of this project is to improve Hopkins Road from West Mountain Street (N.C. 66) to Big Mill Farm Road, and improve and extend Big Mill Farm Road from Business 40/LJ.S. 421 to Harmon Creek Road with a new interchange at Business 40/LT.S. 421.
