Division of Water Resources (NCDWR) for the proposed Grasshopper Road Force Main Relocation located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The proposed project consists of relocating an approximately 136 linear foot (LF) ection of existing force main sewer line adjacent to Grasshopper Road in Raleigh, North Carolina. The project will allow the N.C. Division of Transportation additional room to repair a culvert damaged In recent storm events. Project construction will require the use of heavy machinery typically used for site construction, and result In a maximum of 205 ft2 of tree clearing. The proposed project will consist of the perpendicular crossing of an intermittent Unnamed Tributary (UT) and perennial UT to Poplar Creek. Proposed temporary stream impacts are associated with dewatering activities and the open cut/backfill of each stream. Permanent impacts are associated with bank stabilization of the perennial UT to Poplar Creek. Proposed buffer impacts associated with the project are 1779.4 ft2 of Zone 1 and 183.5 ft2 of Zone 2 Neuse buffer Impacts. A summary of the buffer Impacts and their associated uses are included in the impact summary below.
