for farm for drainage. Outlet this new ditch into an adjoining stream which may be subject to riparian forest buffer rules. New ditch
will not have to be cut all the way through the buffer or directly into the stream. New ditch will end prior to the stream and water
can sheet flow into the stream. (Stream does not show on topo but does appear on printed soil map).

Hey Anthony,
Attached is a buffer determination request form that I completed for the landowner
Basically the plans are to dig a new ditch along the edge of the pasture to provide drainage This ditch will need
to drain into an adjoining ditch inside the woods. This outlet ditch in the woods does not appear on the topo map
as a stream but does appear on the printed soil map. Due to the natural slope of the land, we will not need to cut
the new ditch all the way through the buffer or cut into the stream The new ditch will play out before reaching
the stream and sheet flow the rest of the way You'll understand it better when you see the site
The farm manager and myself have already met onsite with Gary Beecher to make sure there were no wetland
issues with digging a new ditch. He gave them the green light however they don't have it in writing yet. I
believe the plan was to get the "final" plan figured out,, submit those to him and he would give the official
written green light. But,, the buffer/stream question could effect the final plan.
