NCDOT shall ensure the use of the same protective measures for this casing extension and driving activity, as that which was required for the previous casing extensions on this project, and described in your May 12, 2017 email to me. So while environmentally we did not have an incident, the constructability issue still exists. BBII needs to vibrate this casing down 10' in order to complete construction. We are planning to vibrate this down on the low tide tonight. This shaft is the last one at bent 8_ no other issues have arisen. Given the fact that no slurry was seen on the surface, no notice was sent yesterday. Please confirm we can proceed. BBII & Beck backfilled the hole after the loss was experienced. Our inspector looked for signs on slurry all around, and found none...
