Subject: Drainage pipe repairs, Hwy 27, Lincolnton, Lincoln County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to provide riprap
stabilization at the end of a 24" stormwater pipe (2% slope) which is located adjacent to
a small seep wetland that drains to an intermittent stream channel, unnamed tributary
to South Fork Catawba River (WS-IV watershed) on Hwy 27 West, Lincolnton, NC. The
project will not impact any federally listed T& E species (survey
conducted 4/2/17). Attached is the NLEB streamlined consultation form for
USACE/USFWS purposes. There will be no impacts on historical structures (NCDOT
Cultural Resources Review- Internal Tracking No. 17-06-0015).
Also provided below is a link to google map of the proposed permit site:

We intend to utilize a NW 18, with no formal notification for the construction of the
project. Please let me know if you need additional information regarding this
project. Attached is construction plans and an aerial showing area of proposed
activities.
Thank you
