Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application: The Hatteras Ferry Terminal is used by the NCDOT Ferry Division to transport the public back and forth from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke. In spring 2018 a new passenger ferry service will be coming to the Hatteras Ferry Terminal and improvements to the basin are needed to be accomplished before fall 2017.
