I will be requesting a modification of CAMA Major 104-11 for this dune project. The alignment is shown on the attached aerial. I will revise the New Inlet Bridge drawings, as I did for the south side. This area was claimed as jurisdictional surface waters during the previous jurisdictional call, therefore, the proposed dune alignment will result in an additional 0.2 acres of surface water impact. This will bring the total surface water impacts up to approximately 0.47 acres. However, this area is currently all filled in with sand. I wanted to know if you all needed to meet in the field to discuss anything and also, do we need the Mean High Water marked. If we need the MHW marked, I assume the COE will determine that based on the wet sand line. Please, let me know, so we can schedule a time that works for everyone. If not, I can go ahead and put the request together and send it out. Dennis Stuart with the refuge is okay with us extending the temporary easement on this side for the dune, and will be sending out an authorization letter, after Christmas.
