I'm sure this was missed during permit evaluation. Based on the pictures it looks like we will need a permit mod to authorize the tie-in as part of the overall project. One thing to check on is where the ordinary high water mark (OHWM) of the stream is compared to the area of disturbance required to install the tie-in. If the OHWM is within the disturbance area, including any proposed dewatering, the mod request will need to include a plan sheet (plan and profile views), dewatering plan, restoration plan of the impact area (assuming temporary impacts), and itemized impact calculations (linear feet of stream impacted). Typically these run through the central office, so please coordinate with them if necessary. Also, if there are any other mods necessary in the foreseeable future, please include those as well for efficiency purposes. If you have any questions please let me know. -Dave Bailey --- David E. The side we need to tie into is located in the stream bank side and will only require us to dig 2'-3' down to core in the new pipe. I felt this needed to be looked at to see if we need a permit or a mod to do this work? Took a few pictures of the area (up stream of site #4) with a picture of the utility plan sheet where the work will take place. Give me a call when you get this. Thanks Chris D.
