Division of Water Resources will host two public hearings to obtain community feedback on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC's application for a state water quality certification and buffer authorization as required by the federal Clean Water Act and state riparian buffer rules. Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC, is proposing to construct one compressor station and install about 186 miles of 36 -inch transmission pipeline in Northampton, Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland and Robeson counties. The first public hearing is scheduled for July 18 in Cumberland Hall Auditorium at Fayetteville Technical Community College, 2201 Hull Road, Fayetteville. The second public hearing is planned for July 20 in Brown Auditorium at Nash Community College, 522 North Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount. Speaker registration and sign -in for both public hearings will start at 5 p.m. The hearings will start at 6 p.m. The project application and supporting documents can be found online at: http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/0/fol/261798/Rowl .aspx (http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/0/fol/261798IRowl.aspx).
