How many acres of SAV will be directly affected. NWP 48 allows no more than 1/2 acres of impacts to SAV.
Please provide a side view diagram that shows water depths in the project area.

Subject: [Non-DoD Source] Proposed Shellfish Lease - Brian Scall - Dare County
Good afternoon,
The Division of Marine Fisheries has received an application from Brian Scall of Hatteras, for a 2.96 -acre shellfish bottom
lease (1914712) and water column (1914720) in Hatteras Inlet, Dare County for the purpose of utilization for shellfish
aquaculture. Enclosed is the shellfish lease investigation report and a map of the proposed lease location, the original
application and any other documents they may help in your review.
In order to more fully evaluate other factors which may affect the possible issuance of this lease, it is requested that you
review and send comment via email to [e-mail]<mailto:[e-mail]> by July 5th.
Also, if there are adjacent riparian property owners that should be notified about the proposed lease, please identify the
property owners and provide mailing addresses at the time you submit comment. DMF will mail the notice of public
hearing for the proposed lease to the list of riparian property owners identified by DCM. Otherwise the notice of public
hearing will go out as a DMF press release and on the DMF proclamation email listserv.
This application cannot be completely processed until your comments are received. Thank you in advance for your time

are received, these will be forwarded by our office to the Army Corps for further evaluation of NWP 48 PCN process.
