The existing three span concrete bridge has significant levels af deterioratian and wil be replaced with a new single spaxn concrete bridge. As you kncw, the northeastert quadrant of this bridge falls within the edge of the conservation easement for the Glade Creek II Mitigation Site. We have obtained approval from the TRT to praceed wiih the replacernent. Owr Locations and Surveys Unit is currently drafting the docurnents necessary for the 5tate Property Off ce to release the small arxzaunt of the easement needed to demolish and recanstxuct the bridg. We will not proceed until all of those right-of-way issues are resalved. Construction of this praject will require iripacts to waters of the United Sta.tes in the New River Basin. The exisfirg bridge crosses Gade Creek {Class: C; Trout} and is located in a trout watershed. This project daes not drain to designated critieal habitat for the elk ioe mussel. This project was reviewed for the presence o' threatened and encangered species in the field and I have aiso included a query of the NCI`1HP database.
