Dear Mr. McMillan:
On behalf of Crescent Resources, MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc, (MACTEC) is
requesting an extension for submittal of the storm water management plan for Piedmont Town
Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The project activities have been delayed due to a change in
the type of development that is proposed and, as such, Crescent Resources is unable to complete
the required storm water management plan until the property's site plan and associated
development plans are finalized. Once the site plan is completed and finalized, Crescent
Resources will submit the storm water management plan to the North Carolina Division of Water
Quality (DVb'Q) for their review and comment.
Currently, the storm water management plan is due to DWQ on September 24, 2008. Because of
site plan revisions, Crescent requests that this due date be extended an additional 90 days to i
December 23. 2008.

Mr. Speidel, the NC DWQ will grant you the requested extension, however, if the stormwater plans
are not received in this Office by December 23, 2008, you will be in violation of your 401 Water
Quality Certification and we will recommend the DWQ Mooresville Regional Office issue a Notice of
