I am sending this letter as a one time notification that our plant located in Roanoke Rapids intends to
claim the waste water exclusion from RCRA jurisdiction that was published in the May 26, 1998 Federal
Register. It is our understanding that NC has adopted the waste water exclusion: therefore, as of the
date of this letter, we will be operating under this exclusion.
Additionally, this letter is to certify that we have read the applicable regulation establishing an exclusion
for the wood preserving waste waters and spent wood preserving solutions and understand it requires
us to comply at all times with the conditions set out in the regulation.
