Brad -----Original Message----- From: Herndon, T. Mason [mailto:tmherndon@ncdot.gov] Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2017 12:44 PM To: Shaver, Brad E CIV USARMY CESAW (US) <Brad.E.Shaver@usace.army.mil>; Steenhuis, Joanne <joanne.steenhuis@ncdenr.gov>; Lane, Stephen <stephen.lane@ncdenr.gov> Subject: [Non-DoD Source] B-4929 Roundabout Revision I have received the revised permit drawings for the changes at the B-4929 mainland roundabout (attached). There is actually a reduction in impacts, which I have summarized below: Site 2 - Bridge Approach- Sta. 18+71 to 19+40 -L2- Reduction in mechanized clearing from 0.04 acres to 0.02 acres); this reduction is not due to changes in impact or area but a miscalculation of the impact area which I had checked and rechecked. Site 3 (Roundabout) Sta. 12+32 to 12+45 -Y1- <0.01 ac of permanent fill deleted with revision. Sta. 12+62 to 15+98 -Y1- changed to 12+85 to 15+98 -Y1- with no changes in impact Sta. 13+02 to 16+03 -Y1- LT changed to 12+96 to 16+03 -Y1- LT with no changes in impacts 12+28 to 15+28 -Y1- RT changed to 12+96 to 15+28 -Y1- RT with no changes in impacts NES is going to send out an official revision notice and request that the mitigation requirements for the project be reduced by 0.02 acres. My question is, given that we have confirmed that impacts have reduced (minimally, except for the miscalculation) do we still need to have the contractor hold off on the construction of this section? Give me a call if we need to discuss. Thanks!
