REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
On September 22, 2008, the Express Review Program of the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received
your application for the above referenced project. The DWQ has determined that your application will
require additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to
review your project and prevent return of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506:
Additional Information Requested
1. Diffuse Flow Provision Measures:
a. Please provide a drainage map for the project area with delineated drainage area to each
storage chamber and level spreader system.
b. Please show contour lines and elevations down slope of the level spreader so that the DWQ
can confirm that they have been correctly sited per Chapter 8 of the BMP Manual.
c. Please provide one Level Spreader Supplement Form for each proposed level spreader,
available at: http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/su/bmp forms.htm. Please include the Required Items
Checklist and all items listed therein.
Please note that the above comments are only diffuse flow comments and do not include any stream or
wetland impacts, buffer impacts (allowable or those requiring minor variance) nor the proposed
stormwater BMPs. You May receive a second request for additional information if review of the impacts
and minor variance demands additional information. It is our understanding that the stormwater BMPs
will be reviewed by the City of Raleigh, and you will be required to submit an approved copy of the
BMPS and all supporting calculations to us.
Please respond within five (5) days of the date of this letter by sending two (2) copies of the above
information in writing. The Express Review Program is a process that requires all parties to participate in a
timely manner.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters
or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not
authorized (at this time) by the DWQ.
