Dear Mr. Ruhe,
In accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 90A-37, the Water Pollution Control System Operators
Certification Commission is required to classify all water pollution control systems.
Upon review of the subject permit and after discussion with the DWR's Mooresville Regional Office staff the
Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission has determined that the subject facility be
reclassified as follows:
• Grade 2 Physical Chemical Water Pollution Control Treatment System (PC -2) [15A NCAC 08G.0306(b)]
• Grade 2 Wastewater Water Pollution Control Treatment System (WW -2) [15A NCAC 08G. 0302(b)]
This reclassification will go into effect on June 1, 2017._Please note that a Grade 2 or higher Physical Chemical
and Wastewater System Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC), and a Back-up Operator with at least a Grade 1
Physical Chemical and Wastewater certification will be required (15A NCAC 8G .0201).
