Highway 32, adjacent to the north shore of the Albemarle Sound, southeast of Edenton, in Chowan County, North Carolina. The plan was submitted to this office on your behalf by Brian Rubino of Quible and Associates during our meeting on September 5, 2008. This plan was submitted to comply with Special Condition 2 of your issued permit which requires that a written plan be submitted 60 days prior to commencement of dredging activities in the project area. According to the submitted document, hydrologic dredging will be conducted by Mr. Darren Burris with Cape Dredging Company, Incorporated. Spoil disposal will occur in approved high ground disposal areas shown on the revised plat titled Sandy Point Development CAMA Major Plat revised 09-03-08 Dredge Spoil Disposal Relocation. Permit Special Conditions numbers 9 through 17 refer to spoil disposal and excavation activities. These conditions remain in effect. In addition, if additional impacts occur outside of the permitted channel alignment, resulting from anchor drag or any other activity associated with excavation or spoil disposal, these impacts must be reported to the Corps of Engineers immediately and remedial action must be taken. Effluent must be monitored and appropriate actions taken to ensure that turbidity levels do not exceed 25 NTU. Any change in activity or violation of permit conditions must be reported to the Corps immediately. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
