The purpose of this application is to get proper approval for the pump station and pipe that was originally installed in 1989. Crescent Resources was in the process of developing this property and they did not get a conveyance permit for the pump station. The Peninsula Club has been using the pump station for the last 26 years under this arrangement. As the Club was getting permitted to replace a sea wall, it was determined that they was never a permit issued for the pump station. Joe Kluttz with Duke Energy and his superior said to go ahead and replace the old pump and get a conveyance application done this year. The pumps were used to pull water out of the lake into the irrigation system. It pumps between 0- 800,000 gallons per day. Right now we are only pumping between 300,000 — 600,000 gallons per day. If they were to ever upgrade their irrigation system they could run up to 900,000 gallons per day. The rights will be conveyed to The Peninsula Club % Mr. Jared Nemitz, Director of Golf Course Grounds. The leased area is 16,003 sq. ft. for 0.37 acres. The velocity screen is 28 sq. ft. of open screen 1750 gpm of flow= .004 feet per second of the velocity at the screen and @1750 the water flowing thru the 18" piper is traveling 2.2 fps, The shoreline is already stabilized with a VA Fieldstone Wall Please advise me on any comments, questions or changes /additions you might have concerning this Conveyance Application.
