The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) was issued A 404 Nationwide
Permit 23 and 33 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on May 11, 2016 for the
replacement of Bridge No. 8 over Brown Creek in Anson County. The USACE 404 permit
expired on March 18, 2U17. The project is scheduled to LET on July 18, 2017. Therefore, a
renewal of the USACE permit will be needed.
NCDOT also was issued Water Quality Certification (WQC) No. 3891 and 3893 from the North
Carolina Division of Water Resources (NCDWR) on May 25, 2016. Therefore, a renewal of the
NCDWR 401 WQC will also be needed.
No changes have occurred to the special commitments for this project.

There will be no construction changes from the original permit application submitted on March
30, 2016 therefore, NCDOT requests to renew the permit for this project. Application is hereby
made for renewal of the USACE 404 permit and 401 WQC from NCDWR. We have provided a
method of debiting $240.00 to be submitted to the NCDWR for processing the WQC renewal
request for B-2506, as noted in the subject line of this application.
