Chris/Gordon,
As you are aware this project was authorized utilizing NW 23 which expired on March
18, 2017. The Department is currently taking advantage of the twelve month extension
offered in the nationwide permit. The Corps cannot technically modify nationwide
permits rather we must verify that the project continues to meet the terms and
conditions of the nationwide. For this project the construction drawing changes dated
May 11, 2017 (updated permit drawing sheets 15 and 20 of 20) remain consistent with
the terms and conditions of the previously verified nationwide permit. This email
exchange will be added to the file as the approval mechanism. The twelve month
extension window will close on March 18, 2018 at which time, if the work is not
complete a new nationwide permit verification must be requested.
