I can issue a modification from the information you have submitted since the impacts will be less than originally permitted. If the impacts increase, we require a fee for the modification. Bragg 401 modification for DWR#15-1162 (Ft. Bragg Pope 21st Special Tactics Squadron-AFSOC TMKH003003) Good Morning Karen, The Fort Bragg Project, 21st Special Tactics Squadron-AFSOC TMKH003003 has recently had some design modifications that have reduced the project's footprint and wetland impact. The original 401 Certification (attached) authorized 0.65 acre of wetland impact for the purpose of constructing three buildings and associated parking areas for the STS. The current design reduces the number of buildings to be constructed to two with associated parking and a reduced retention wall area. This reduction in the project scale reduces the 404 wetland impacts to only 0.51 acre (attached drawing). The new footprint reduces the wetland impact area for this project by 0.14 acre. I submitted a permit modification request with the USACE Regulatory (Liz Hair) on April 14, 2017 and I was wondering if there was a 401 permit modification request form or letter that you needed in order to issue a WQC modification for the recent changes to the project. I know for the NWP's the form is a combined one between DWR and USACE, but I was unsure the correct process for modifications to issued individual permits. Thank you in advance for your help with this. Best Regards, Teresa Bullard Teresa Bullard Environmental Resources Wilmington District Army Corps of Engineers 910-251-4725
