Heath,
On 5/5/17 and 5/6/17 the project received approximately 2.4 inches of rain. After the NPDES inspection, it was noted that
the following locations experienced sediment loss. The contractor began clean up on 5/6/17 and the are continuing this
week.
37+50 — Efforts were made last week to strengthen the hardware cloth and silt fence in this area. The silt fence
was breached adjacent to the improved hardware cloth section. Approximately 4 to 5 cubic yards of material was
lost.
42+11 (P) — A small amount of loss, less than a 5 gallon bucket. The rip rap in this area will require repair.
48+50 — The storm filled the basin and the material overflowed the weir. Approximately 3 to 5 cubic yards was
lost. A few downed trees outside of the project limits helped contain the sediment adjacent to the basin outlet.
55+00 (P) — Approximately a 5 gallon bucket of loss.
63+50 (P) — Approximately 7 five gallon buckets of sediment loss. The sediment was within 50-ft. of the end of the
pipe. Please note that this is the location that we are revising to a permanent slope drain.
