Subject: SR 1513A (Indian Grave) - Sediment Loss (4/22/17 to 4/24/17)
Heath,
I wanted to let you know that we experienced some sediment loss, during the last rain event (4/22 to 4/24).
During this storm event we received over 5-inches of rain on the project. All erosion control measures noted on
the plans were installed. The storm produced more rain than the installed measures could accommodate.
Below is list of the locations at which we experienced loss. The contractor is in the process of reclaiming the
offsite sediment. All areas will be properly seed and covered. We will continue to clean up and repair all other
measures.
• 34+50 (Lt.) — approximately 5 to 7 five-gallon buckets.
• 39+80 (Lt.) - approximately 1 CY of material . 55+00 (Lt.) - the stream diversion pipe was not able to
handle the increased stream flow. The contractor will be repairing the inlet for the stream diversion
pipe. We are estimating 1 CY of material.
• 67+50 (Lt.) — the silt fence was breached and we lost less than 1 five-gallon bucket.
• 104+00 (Rt.) — approximately 4 to 5 five-gallon buckets.
