TROGDON, III SECRETARY RE: Project Initiation for the Proposed McCrimmon Parkway Improvements, including Grade Separation of North Carolina Railroad and NC 54; TIP# U-5747, Town of Morrisville, Wake County The North Carolina Department of Transportation is starting the project development, environmental, and engineering studies for the proposed construction to improve McCrimmon Parkway from west of SR 1613 (Davis Drive) to NC 54 and convert the NC 54 at-grade intersection to a grade separation including grade separation of North Carolina Railroad. This segment of McCrimmon Parkway will connect to a previous, Town-funded phase that is currently under construction from NC 54 to Airport Boulevard. Attached for your reference are several maps for the subject project. We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating potential environmental impacts of the project. If applicable, please identify any permits or approvals that may be required by your agency/department. An agency scoping meeting is not anticipated for this project. A State Environmental Assessment (EA) is anticipated to be prepared in compliance with the State Environmental Policy Act. Please provide written comments by May 26, 2017 via email or mail.
