Thus, the level spreader (sized at 13 feet per cfs) is not long enough to handle the flow that is being directed toward it. Please redesign this portion of the project so that the level spreader length is appropriate for the type of vegetation in the filter strip. Also, please show a profile of the roadway and the roadway drainage system. This will assist the DWQ in determining if the flow can be conveyed to the level spreader based on the topography. 2. Scour Hole #1 (treating the discharge from Scour Hole #1): The slopes within the filter strip appear to be approximately 4 percent, which exceeds the allowable slopes of 2 percent or less for scour holes. Please provide a level spreader in this location. In your resubmittal, please call out the invert of the discharge point. This will assist the DWQ in determining if the flow can be conveyed to the level spreader based on the topography. 3. SE Portion of Project: Please provide diffuse flow provisions to convey stormwater from the impervious surfaces on this part of the project to the receiving stream.
