Dear Mr. Oakley:
Attached herein are invoices received from the Charlotte Observer, Gaston Gazette and
Statesville Record and Landmark requesting payment in the total amount of $1,125.85 for legal
advertising. The newspaper published Public Notices for an application for a 401 Certification
for the proposed FERC relicensing on July 10, 11 and 18, 2008.
Please note that in accordance with 15A NCAC 2H .1303(1), an applicant for an Individual
Certification shall pay to the department the costs of advertising public notices required by 15A
NCAC 2H .1303 of the Isolated Wetland Rules. Please remit payment in the total amount of
$1,125.84 to each of these papers at your earliest convenience and provide a copy of your letter
and a copy of the checks to the DWQ.
