DWR Project # 2005-0634
Wake County
On March 22, 2017, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) received a close-out packet from you on
behalf of the Division of Mitigation Services (DMS) requesting approval to close-out the subject site from
monitoring and maintenance of the riparian areas. On April 26, 2017, Katie Merritt with DWR visited the
subject site to assess the vegetation and overall site conditions. An asset map is attached.
As a result of Ms. Merritt's review of the close-out request, the following mitigation is approved:

*Linear footage does not include the stream length that runs under a golf cart bridge through an easement exception. Square feet ofbuffer are limited to the areas ofthe buffer
that meet the regulatory criteria for buffer restoration credit. See Figure 2 for the locations ofthe creditable buffer.
'Thc credits have been reduced to account for areas where the stream flows through vegetation management zones within the easement. These management areas are depicted
on Figure 2. They include a utility right of way and a play over area for the golfcourse. Under the utility right of way the buffer will be allowed to grow to a height of 12'. Due to
this restriction the 309 mitigation credits that would be generated by the stream in the right ofway is reduced by 25% to 231 stream credits. The vegetation in the play over area
will be trimmed to a few feet high. Due to this restriction, the 151 mitigation credits that would be generated by the stream in the play over area are reduced by 50% to 76 stream
credits. There is 2,459lfofstream that does not have any reductions and will generate 2,459 credits.
