Thanks for issuing the 401 - we received Steve's permit too.
Following up with you in response to the comments you made in the field.
- Maintain a 25' undisturbed buffer from the top of bank of the stream - the engineers have
confirmed that they will maintain this undisturbed distance as we finalize our revised grading plans on the
northern side of the small stream. In the regard to the rip-rap aprons, they will not disturb any closer than
what has already graded.
- Point the rip-rap apron carrying the off-site water more parallel to the stream - The engineers have
revised both this pipe/rip-rap apron and the pipe/rip-rap apron on the northern side of the stream so that they
are more parallel to the stream (see exhibit 3). They are not 100% parallel, but they are better than they
were before. According to the engineers the rip-rap aprons will be designed per City of Charlotte and/or
NCDENR standards.
