Staff at Division of Mitigation Services (DMS) received your draft monitoring report on November 23, 2016 and a
site visit is planned for the week of December 5th. Based on our review, please address the following comments
• Provide CVS access file
• Remove CVS data sheets.
• Page 2. In the discussion of replanted areas, it is not advisable to suggest that you only replanted in veg
plot areas that were not meeting success. Please revise report to reflect accurately what determined
where you would replant stems (Le. visual assessment of low stem density areas, ect.).
• Page 2. Please insert the number and species of stems replanted into the report.
• Page 4. Please remove paragraph related to DMS contract. DMS may generate credits above the OBG
contracted amount. Please revise creditable amounts on the tables to reflect full amount of credit
available on-site (for riparian buffer and nutrient offset). OBG will be paid based on contract, but DWR
will award credit to DMS based on creditable area.
• Please add following language below asset table 4:
Credit determination for this riparian restoration site follows North Carolina Tar -Pamlico River Basin rule
15A NCAC 02B.0260, effective August 1, 2000 and the Nutrient Offsets Payments Rule 15A NCAC 02B.
0240, amended effective September 1, 2010.
Methodology used for determining nutrient offset credits from riparian restoration is the "NC Division of
Water Resources — Methodology and Calculations for determining Nutrient Reductions associated with
Riparian Buffer Establishment."
After these updates are made and reviewed, provide 3 hard copies of the final report (make sure to replace Final
to footer and front page), along with any UPDATED digital files and the PDF hard copy via CD along with your
invoice.
