Eric,
I suspect that the complaint that Dave got did not give a station number or much
detail. I think you just need to ride through the job and address any deficiencies as you
do during any NPDES inspection. We want to make sure when Dave is there that he is
satisfied with our efforts. If he sees something that he'd like for us to address, I'm sure
he will let us know.

I would say 0.01 to 0.02 acres at most. Very thin layer of silt, any attempt to remove will
cause vegetation damage. Contractors are addressing issue now. Where are the failing
erosion measures elsewhere on project that were mentioned?

Please remove any sediment that can be removed without damaging
vegetation and then send me an email with the estimated area
impacted. Seed and mulch per Heath's instructions. I'll conduct an
inspection out there next week. We have also had a citizen complaint
about the project concerning stream siltation and failing EC
measures. Ensure your NPDES records are up to date and EC measures
are maintained and functioning per the plan.

Recommend hand seeding and mulching in place with riparian seed
mix. It looks pretty thin and I think we'd do more damage trying to
recover what's there.

Health,
I was on the 221D project yesterday for an EC inspection, and noticed
an area where sediment had been deposited in a wetland. It was
located at Sta. 522 RT. This may have occurred before the most recent
rain events, and the inspector was not aware of an issue. However, the
Contractor has just recently repaired the shoulder and SSCF at this
location and installed a ditch along the shoulder to divert runoff away
from the silt fence. I have attached some photos. Just wanted to make
you aware.
