REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Frazer:
On June 19, 2008 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated April
30, 2008, to impact 0.042 acres of waters and 320 square feet (ft) of protected riparian buffers to
redevelop a marina. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or
provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional
information in order to process your application to impact protected wetland, streams and/or
buffers on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information
requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A
NCAC 2H .0506 and 2B .0233(8) and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we
receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may
continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Riparian Buffer Impacts
The plans that you submitted with you project indicate a 80' long by 4' wide walkway
landward of the bulkhead adjacent to Camp Creek in Oriental, NC. It appears that the
portion of the walkway adjacent to the bulkhead can be removed to avoid impacts to the
Neuse River Riparian Buffer. Please redesign an access to the marina pier Avoids or
Minimizes impacts to the Neuse River Riparian Buffer.
