General Project Narrative: State project 176P.5.R.64 involves the replacement of the existing NCDOT Bridge #900078 on SR 1342 over Little Island Creek. Bridge #900078 consists of 1@17'10",
(Description of Minimization of Water 1@17'6", 1@1T9", 1@17'6°, 1@17'9", 1@17'6°; Timber Deck on Steel I-Beams on Timber Caps and Timber Piles. The proposed bridge consists of 1@70', 1@45'; 24" Cored
Quality Impacts) Slab with 4'-0" caps. Two stormwater outfalls are proposed which will be placed at a distance to minimize disturbance to adjacent stream. Rip Rad pads will be utilized to
dissipate the energy. Deck drains are not required for the proposed bridge.
