On August 25, 2008, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated August 19,
2008 for the above referenced project. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete
and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. Please provide the following so that we may
continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
® Incorrect permitting fee amount. Your check # 2247 for $475.00 is herein enclosed for fee
correction. DWQ does not retain any payment unless it is in the correct amount. Please remit
$570. You may remit the original check and another $95 check, or send a new $570 check.
Please note that beginning July 1, 2007, the N.C. General Assembly passed an increase for
application fees for all regulatory programs administered by DWQ. The director of DWQ
determined that the fee increase would specifically become effective for the 401 Program on
September 1, 2007.
The fee for applications is $240 for projects impacting less than an acre of wetland and less
than 150 linear feet of streams whether intermittent or perennial). For projects impacting one
or more acres of wetland or 150 or more feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial),
the fee is $570.
® Please submit (1) date CD of the full sized plans in TIFF Group 4 format (black and white, not
grayscale or color). If the plans are too large to store in TIFF format, they can be stored in
PDF.

This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters
or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not
