Neuse River Buffer Protection Rules (15A NCAC 2B .0233)

Dear Mr. Harrison:
The Washington Regional Office received your application for a CAMA Major Permit from the Division of Coastal
Management on March 20, 2008. The impacts proposed are for constructing a 30 X 30 upland boat basin as described in
your application. This Office issued a request for additional information on April 29, 2008. The request was for written
consent from adjacent property owners to move additional Neuse Riparian Buffers onto their property from the construction
of the proposed boat basin. Signed and notarized letters of consent were received in this Office on August 13, 2008. This
Certification can also be found on line at: http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/certs.html. You are authorized to proceed
with your project as proposed under General Water Quality Certification (WQC) #3641 (enclosed). This Certification is
issued in conjunction with the CAMA Major Permit when the Division of Coastal Management issues it. This letter
serves as written concurrence and Neuse Buffer Authorization from the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) and it is required
that you can meet all of the conditions of the General Water Quality Certification and the Neuse River Buffer Protection
Rules (15A NCAC 213 .0233).
If at anytime during construction of your project you determine that you cannot meet these conditions or if there are any
additional impacts to wetlands or water quality not described in your application, you must contact this office
immediately.
