We have a meeting with PCS tomorrow afternoon. thankx Fox.Rebecca@epamail.epa.gov wrote: John, Just forwarding this old correspondence string I had with Mike re Bonnerton SNHA designation back in Feb. I think I may have shared with I you at the time. If you scroll down you will see where he says this area is now designated as nationally significant in NHP database. FYI, I our NEPA letter on FEIS is STRONGLY advising alt L be modified to avoid the entire SNHA on Bonnerton -- this includes the western area and the less mature area north of this western area and 2 secondary connective pieces -- as you know, L as proposed, already avoids the eastern area 1 of 5 7/8/2008 5:02 PM Re: Fw: Bonnerton SNHA in I headwaters of Porter Creek. This is supported by the database collectively, which shows that the combination of condition and size of this and the other nationally significant examples is better than all our other examples. This is the same information that was summarized in the paper I sent you. The other side of the conclusion that it is nationally significant rather than state is that we have 2 of 5 7/8/2008 5:02 PM Re: Fw: Bonnerton SNHA the bulk of its occurrences and that there isn't more than one other occurrence in Virginia that is this good. Though not documented in our database, which only covers our state, I did correspond with my counterparts in Virginia to find out how their best examples would compare. There's always a bit of uncertainty, including a possibility that it would show up in South Carolina, but this is what the evidence points to. Fox.Rebecca@epamail_e?La.gov wrote: Thanks Mike. Did you provide any write up along with this change in the I database or was the updated 1-08 WHF status and trends report used for that purpose.
