Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Desi n/Future: 460 Year: 2032 Existin : 230 Year: 2012 General Project Narrative: State project 176P.2.R.75 involves the replacement of Beaufort County Bridge #660088 on SR 1414 (Horsepen Swamp Rd.) over Horsepen Swamp. The existing bridge (Description of Minimization of Water consists of 1�a 16' - 1", 1�a 14' - 7", 1@ 15' - 0" and 1@ 16' - 1" timber deck spans on timber joists and is to be replaced with a 1�a 70' - 0", 24" cored slab bridge (70' total Quality Impacts) length, 33' total width) at the same location. In accorance with Tar-Pamlico River Buffer Regulations, the propsoed bridge does not contain deck drains. All stormwater from the bridge and approches will be collected by a storm drainage system and discharged into wetland. The drainage system will outlet outside of the buffer limits in the southeast quadrant at -L- station 14+60 RT with the outlet pipe set at 0.3 % to reduce velocity into the wetland. Northwest quadrant ditch discharges directly into the wetland at -L- station 12+80 LT with rip rap set at 0.0 % to reduce veloctiy into the wetland. The southwest quadrant ditch design maintains the existing drainage patterns along Horsepen Swamp.
