RE: Permitting for High Value Bridges (HVB) for Div 2 projects
I would be considering an April 1— September 30 moratorium based on the mapped SAV adjacent to the project site.
More specific information about the extent and duration of in-water work would be needed for final determination as to
whether or not I would ask for the moratorium.

Maria,
It would be asked for the in-water work moratorium be adhered to for work that occurs "in-water". This would include
but would not be limited to things like the driving of piles, sheeting, or dredge and fill work. I am not completely familiar
with all the work described below but for B-5938 the replacement of the fender system sticks out as something that
would likely be held to moratorium restrictions.
Thanks
Shane

Gentleman:
NCDOT is currently working on plans to complete extensive preservation work on the following two bridges. They are
currently going to be Design/Bid Build lets in Raleigh and they will be combined into one contract. That being said, based
on the proposed work below, can you please let me know if any and what kind of permits would be required to be
obtained for the description of work provided. We would also like to know if any moratoriums would be applicable and
if some or all of the work would be exempt from the moratorium. If you need any additional information or would like to
discuss further, please do not hesitate to give me a call. Thank you and have a great weekend.
