Mrs. Sullins,
I am writing to you as a resident of Flat Top Mountain in Fairview North Carolina. As you know a large
amount of acreage is slated to be developed into a prestigious golf course by Jim Anthony and his Cliffs
development. I have no issues with his residential development, however the impact the golf course will
likely have on our environment and to each of our wells and springs could be devastating. I see that
there are special consideration here due to the our current drought of historical levels, the enormity of
the development and the vulnerability and importance of our water supply.
This is a very critical issue for all members of our community and it deserves an open discussion. I am
asking you to grant our community a hearing to address these concerns.
