Daves, Perhaps you recall that late last year, a permit mod was requested and issued for three sites on U-2525C. Though section C has not let yet (scheduled for July 2018), the Division wanted to go ahead and construct the remaining ramps at the intersection with US 29. We had a CP4C for these three sites prior to the permit mod. I have just been informed by the Division that they would like to go ahead and continue the existing construction from the ramps westward to Summit Avenue, at least the grading portion. From what I understand, this may cut down on the number of borrow pits they need amongst other reasons. This would involve permitting one or two additional sites under U-2525C. Before anybody gets too far along with this plan, I wanted to check with you guys to see if you have any significant objections to going through the same process we did with Sites 1-3 that were permitted last December (application date 11/28/16). We would hold a CP4C meeting for any site(s) impacted by the additional grading and then request a permit mod. Let me know what you think, thanks! -erin Erin Cheely Environmental Biologist Natural Environment Section N.C.
