Re: Churchill Community Greenway, Knightdale, NC
Dear Cindi,
DWQ previously authorized Crosland to impact approximately 11,000 ft2 of the Zone 2
protected riparian buffers for the purpose of constructing a community greenway trail.
Currently, we are using a "crusher run" gravel trail within that buffer and have repeatedly
experienced washout from rainstorms despite all stabilization efforts upstream. A paved
or concrete trail would reduce and potentially eliminate erosion control issues.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience so that we may discuss the change for the
trail and move forward with these repairs.
