Subject: NCDOT Project #U-2406

DIRECTOR
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the North
Carolina Wetlands Restoration Program (NCWRP) is willing to accept
payment from the North Carolina Department of Transportation
(NCDOT) for stream and wetland impacts associated with the subject
project in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding
between the NCWRP and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Based on

information supplied by the NCDOT in a letter dated August 12, 1999,
3.88 acres of wetland and 3494 linear feet of stream restoration is
required to satisfy the compensatory mitigation requirements for this
project. As requested by NCDOT, the NCWRP will provide the
required restoration within Cataloging Unit 03030002 of the Cape
Fear River basin.
